One of the most recently questions about of those Dynamics 365 Finance Unified environments is how to put them in maintenance mode since there is not possible access to the database to run the script manually and not exist a simple visible option like Lifecycle Services.
The reality is that this option exists and is really easy to put those environments in “Maintenance Mode”. The only that you should to do is edit the Power Platform environment options and enable the check of “Administration Mode”.
- Login to the Power Platform admin center
- Click on Environments
- In the right pane, select your environment
- In the selected environment, click on Edit and active the check of “Administration mode”
This process takes a few minutes to complete, approximately 10 minutes:
After you complete the license code activate or deactivate, and want to disable the “Administration mode”, you should the same steps and process takes some other few minutes to complete the database synchronization and bring up the environment, in my case 45 minutes.
